Dipl.-Ing. Markus Demmerle

Expert HV System
Commercial Vehicle Development, Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Center GmbH

Graduate Engineer Markus Demmerle is currently an expert in the HV system
commercial vehicle development at Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Center GmbH.

After studying electrical power engineering at the TH Darmstadt, specialising in power electronics, he joined Daimler Benz Forschung in Frankfurt a.M. in 1997 in the development of the 42 V on-board power supply system. After 2 years at Daimler, his path led to fuel cell development at Opel, where he worked for 14 years as a component and system engineer for performance and safety in the high-voltage sector. During this time, work as a representative in standardisation at DKE on the AC and DC vehicle charging interface (ISO 62196) and on electric vehicle concepts followed from 2009-2013. After 6 years in the development of different CO2 innovation projects in the field of conventional vehicle electrical systems (12 V), he took over the management of a development team for the high-voltage vehicle electrical system in the Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Competence Centre of Groupe PSA and then moved to Stellantis as HV System Architect in the field of fuel cell vehicle development.
